George Gavrailoff, Ashley, & Mireille – Winnipeg – Diamond DA 40

George wanted to be a pilot since he was about 7 and has just completed his PPL on a Citabria. He has since logged over 100 hours on the taildragger including an aerobatics rating. He has been working at Kivalliq Air for over a year and hopes to fly for them once his training is complete.

Mireille, a U.S. single & multi-engine ATPL, CFII, AGI, IGI, FAASTeam representative as well as a Canadian ATPL, has flown a wide variety of single and multiengine aircraft and has taught students from around the world including North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to teaching, she has developed numerous aviation courses. Some of her most recent projects include a Beech King Air course and a Canadian ATPL course. Mireille will provide instrument instruction to George during the rally.

Ashley, who has been studying international business and marketing in France, will enjoy the trip and will be the team’s official photographer.
