Author’s biographyMireille (meer-raye) was born and raised in France. She flew for the first time when she moved to Los Angeles. After receiving degrees in graphic design at UCLA, she led a successful career in corporate communication. On March 18, 1990, she found herself wandering to the Hawthorne Airport where she took a demo flight. This is the day she fell head over heels in love with flying. Since then, she has earned U.S. Ground and Flight Instructor certificates, U.S. single and multi-engine ATPL certificate, and Canadian ATPL certificate. She has flown a wide variety of single and multi-engine aircraft and has taught students from around the world including North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to teaching and serving as an FAASTeam representative, she has developed numerous aviation courses. Some of her most recent projects include a Beech King Air course and a Canadian ATPL course. Her training programs are used at flight schools such as Gulfstream Academy in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Montair Aviation in Vancouver, BC. Corporations and institutions such as Air Methods and the Zambia Air Force have selected “The Savvy GPS Pilot™” course to train their pilots. |
